Petrol and diesel prices had witnessed a steady rise for the past few weeks last month. As a result, in many cities across the country, the price of petrol has gone beyond INR 100. Meanwhile, petrol prices are above INR 95 across Maharashtra. This is putting a strain on the pockets of the common man.

The highest petrol price in Maharashtra is in the Nanded district. The petrol and diesel in Nanded are currently at INR 99.35, and INR 88.99 respectively. Followed by Parbhani where the petrol price stands at INR 99.03. However, the petrol and diesel rates in Mumbai and other metro cities were kept unchanged.

Any revisions in fuel rates are implemented with effect from 6 am each day. Also, the domestic petrol and diesel prices vary across states due to the value-added tax (VAT).
