In a good news to all Reliance Jio Users, the telecom company has announced that it will provide two days of free service to their customers.
Releasing an official statement, Jio said that two-day complimentary unlimited plan will automatically get applied to the ongoing plans; however, only to those users affected by the network. This means that the existing plan will be extended for two more days.
Jio has still not confirmed the exact issue causing the outage. On the same day, in late evening, the telecom company sent message to customers and acknowledged the issues faced by many customers and also announced a two-day complimentary unlimited plan because of the disruption.
"Although our teams were able to resolve this network issue in a matter of hours, we understand that it wasn't a pleasant experience for you, and we truly apologise for that," the message said.
This development came days after Reliance Jio customers in Mumbai and Thane including Kakyan and Dombivli areas faced outage for nearly eight hours. A number of people reported that calls to and from Reliance Jio numbers were simply unable to connect.
Apart from Mumbai, the users in Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh also faced connectivity issues.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time when Reliance Jio has had to compensate for a network outage. Last year in October, Jio users had to face similar kind of network issues. Thereafter, Reliance Jio had offered two days of a free unlimited plan to all the affected Jio subscribers to compensate for their loss.
Jio's networks have gone down for hours for the second time in just a year.
