World Environmental Day : The Green Rising Initiative Launched To drive large scale change

The Green Rising’ initiative has been undertaken for World Environment Day, which is celebrated on June 5. A movement that encourages people to work towards sustainability, and brings people together starting important conversations about the planet.

The campaign involves a celebrity wardrobe sale with Salt Scout, and a crowd funding campaign with Give India, both raising funds for the cultivation of a 10 Acre food forest in Maharashtra.  Along with several digital and on-ground activations to raise awareness. The Wardrobe Sale, which will be listed on June 5, 2022, and go on for a month, will be listed on Salt Scout and TheGreenRising.org. Give India and Cornerstone Sport will also launch #GreenUpIndia, a crowdfunding campaign to encourage donors to support this cause. 

The ‘sustainability squad’ will feature some of the most recognized names in India across sports and entertainment like, Yuvraj Singh, Shubman Gill, Mrunal Thakur, Varun Dhawan, Shanaya Kapoor, Sania Mirza, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Mouni Roy and more. Their fans and people interested in contributing to a larger cause can follow the dedicated Instagram handle @TheGreenRising which will feature exclusive content from the talent and have user engagement activations focused on the environment.

Recognizing the need to bring real change to create large scale impact on the environment, Cornerstone Sport conceptualised The Green Rising initiative for World Environment Day. By roping in celebrities and influencers from different sectors, people across the country will be delivered the message to influence change for the greener good.
