Google, is a name that every smartphone user in the country is familiar with. A year back, Google launched a campaign to localise itself by strengthening its Hindi search results and reach as many people as possible in India.

Recently, Google India launched an application to help people find local answers to their queries. On Thursday, the tech firm announced the beta launch of ‘Neighbourly’ in India. The company is planning to make Neighbourly, a crowd-sourced city guide.

A resident knows their city better than anyone else and Google envisions to use it to assist people with the app to use it as a platform to share and learn about tips, tricks, shortcuts and recommendations about the city. The app can be used by typing or by using your voice to answer the questions. Also, Google allows you to ask and answer questions without sharing your private details.
