Let's regulate 'Traffic' technically
Mumbai - About 4717 CCTV cameras have been installed throughout Mumbai, which will record traffic violations. CCTV Challan is a method for issuing challans to traffic violators without traffic police being present in person. The traffic violator would be directly receiving an SMS in which there would be an evidence of him/her violating traffic rules. It's the first time in India to have a complete cashless form of challan. This technology will keep records of the fine collected and pending against the vehicle no. It acts as a huge relief for the traffic police as handling traffic in Mumbai isn't an easy task.
