The Motorola TV lineup will be available on Flipkart starting 29 September (during the Big Billion sale) and will run on Android Pie. At the launch event, Motorola mentioned that its new lineup was made keeping in mind the Indian audience in mind.
Motorola claims that its new TV lineup was designed keeping the Indian audiences in mind and will be manufactured here. These TV will also be manufactured locally.
India is the first market in which Lenovo-owned Motorola is launching its TV range. The smart TVs come with Dolby Vision technology and are HDR10 compliant. There is a 30W front-speaker that are powered by DTS Tru Surround and Dolby Audio. Motorola smart TV is powered by a Mali 450 GPU with 2.25GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The panels have a wide viewing angle of 78-degrees.
As far as the Smart TV market in India goes, there is stiff competition in the space. Xiaomi has already disrupted the market with its Smart TV range, which starts from 12,499. The other prominent player in the market is Vu.
Another smartphone maker OnePlus too is expected to launch its Android-based TV in India soon.
