Popular smartphone brand POCO has just taken the wraps off its latest smartphone, known as the POCO M2 Pro featuring a high-end specs sheet and an attractive price tag. The phone will be on sale via Flipkart starting next Tuesday, the 14th of July at 12 PM. The manufacturer mentions that pricing for the lineup will start from Rs 13,999.

So what does the M2 Pro offer for that price tag?

The phone has a Fullscreen 6.67-inch display with almost no bezels and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 (Full HD+) and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the display and the rear camera lenses will be protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. There’s also a P2i splash and dust resistant coating for protection against the elements.

While there will be three variants available for purchase, the entry-level version comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the mid-level model has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The top of the line model has 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. It’s worth noting that all three variants also have a microSD card slot which can let you expand storage by up to 512GB.

There are some key additions in the camera department as well, with the M2 Pro packing a quad-camera layout consisting of a 48MP primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The front houses a 16MP in-display selfie camera with a ‘Night Mode’ feature. POCO mentions that the M2 Pro runs on the octa-core Snapdragon 720G (8nm) chipset while the Adreno 618 GPU handles the graphics side of things. Rounding off the specs sheet is a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery while the company will also provide a 33W fast charger in the box.

The M2 Pro will be available in colours like Out of the Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black colour variants, making it clear that POCO is taking a cue from Google’s Pixel smartphone colour naming scheme.

Speaking on the launch, General Manager of POCO India, Manmohan Chandolu said, “Over the last two years, we’ve evolved as a brand while maintaining focus on innovation. The launch of POCO M2 Pro is our effort in the same direction.”

“We are confident that this new smartphone will also appeal to existing POCO fans and new consumers across alike,” he added.
