Powai - 26 September 2016 a red-letter day in the history of India. It is for the first time that a satellite designed & developed by IIT-Bombay students naming ‘Pratham’ has been launched. The lift-off was at 9:12am from the Satish Dhawan space centre, Sriharikota. It is for the first time that PSLV has launched satellites into two different orbits. IIT-Bombay’s Aerospace Engineering department worked day & night to make this happen. 30 students worked on the project, around Rs 1.5cr were spent.
