Xiaomi today announced the launch of Mi TV Stick. It is alternative to Amazon Fire Stick and is powered by Android TV 9.0, and offers access to 5000+ apps and games via Google Play. With the help of this device one can even make their non-smart TV into a smart TV.  

Featuring a slim and sleek design, MI TV Stick has a compact and lightweight design (28.5 gms, 92.4 x 30.4mm). Users can now enjoy thousands of hours of engaging content in Full HD resolution on any TV by connecting their Mi TV Stick in less than 30 seconds. The gadget supports Dolby and DTS audio compression technologies delivering rich audio for a cinema-like experience. In addition to this, the Mi TV Stick is also equipped with quad-core Cortex A53 processor backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage promising a smooth and flawless performance.

Running on Android TV version (9.0),  It is a one-stop destination for streaming content online with access to popular OTT players such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Hungama Play, Zee5, Aha Entertainment to name a few. There is also a Bluetooth remote that comes along with the device. Keeping in mind the Indian audience, the company has added dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime Video among other enhancements. 

Mi TV Stick supports voice search powered by Google Assistant, helping users plan their day, get latest updates/news, play/search their favourite content and control other smart home devices. It comes with Chromecast built-in so that users can cast content from all their favourite apps across multiple devices (mobiles/tablets/laptops).

Considering the growing increase in consumption of online content, Mi TV Stick comes pre-loaded with Google’s Data Saver, especially for India. Data Saver allows up to three times more content streaming and simultaneously keeps a track of your data usage.

Mi TV Stick is competitively priced at Rs 2,799 and its first flash sale will be held on August 7, 2020.
