Due to the coronavirus pandemic livelihood of many people have been impacted and the TV industry is no different. Over the past few months, many shows have gone off-air, new work is hard to come by and on top of it working during this pandemic with the fear of virus still looming is no easy task.

The latest show that is going off-air is "Shubharambh" is soon going off-air. Akshit Sukhija who is one of the main lead feels that one of the reasons for the show to be canned right now is because he had tested positive for COVID-19 last month.

The actor shares that he had tested positive just before they were to shoot an interesting sequence and so things had to be changed drastically and that did not give them the desired rating.

"The show is going off-air before Diwali, and we haven't wrapped up yet, we still need to shoot two-three more episodes. Our show was doing quite well before the coronavirus pandemic hit us. After the lockdown, when we started shooting again, we couldn't get the desired TRPs. And this has happened with a lot of shows. Then when I tested positive for COVID-19, they had to change the whole storyline, which I personally liked, but I think people did not like it because they wanted to see Raja and Rani (Mahima Makwana's character) together," shares Akshit.

Talking about his on-screen chemistry with his co-star, he said, "Mahima and my chemistry definitely gave a kick to the show. It was a fresh and young pair, and people loved to see us together. Many people even told me that we look cute together, so I guess that worked in our favour."

Well we hope things better soon and we get to see Akshit in a new role real soon. Till then we wish him a speedy recovery.
