Colors' latest offering ‘Kesari Nandan’ is all set to break the male-dominated moulds. The show will focus on how women are capable of anything their heart is set on achieving with the right amount of self-determination.

‘Kesari Nandan’ is about a little girl Kesari aka Chahat Tiwani and her custom-binding father Hanumant Singh aka Manav Gohil, the journey begins in Rajasthan where Hanumant’s trains young guns for wrestling in his akhada. He is a father who aspires for his son to win the country an Olympic gold medal in wrestling; however, it’s his Kesari who secretly harbours the desire to unload her father’s legacy. With an undeterred resolve, Kesari sets off to do something unthinkable much against the will of her father and challenging mindsets along her way.

The launch was graced with the presence of gold medallist women Geeta Phogat and Mary Kom who had come together in support of the show. “I applaud Colors for choosing a concept like ‘ Kesari Nandan’. It is both, unique and real and highlights the struggles that women have to face to make a name in extreme sports like wrestling”, said Geeta Phogat.

“It’s heartening to see the hardships of women especially in the field of sports being highlighted in the mainstream mass media”, added Mary Kom.

Talking about the show Manav Gohil, “I found the character of Hanumant Singh to be very challenging; both physically and emotionally. I am glad that I have got an opportunity to be a part of such a progressive show.”

Apart from the little girl Chahat Tiwani and Manav Gohil, the show also stars Aastha Chowdhary and Ankit Arora in essential roles. Produced by Contiloe Pictures the show is slated to go on air from January 1, 2019, at 8:30 pm.
