And TV is all set to take the views to a magical and fantasy world with its latest offering 'Vikram Betaal'

Produced by Peninsula Pictures the show will depict the tussle between good and evil. The show will take viewers through the quest of the intelligent King Vikramaditya to find the wise ghost Betaal as challenged by the evil Bhadrakaal. Popular TV actor Ahem Sharrma will be seen essaying the character of Vikramaditya and Makarand Deshpande will be seen as Betaal.

Recently, at the press conference, we met the talented actor Makarand Deshpande who has been a part of Bollywood movies like Guzaarish, Swades, Jungle, Udaan, Makdee and television shows like Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhii Bahu Thi and Sailaab said that he feels elated to be back on the small screen. “Television has always been an integral part of my life as it has contributed a lot to my passion”, averred Makarand.

Taking about Vikram Betaal the actor quoted, “What fascinated me about the show and the character was that people have a defined image set in their mind for Betaal. The way he hangs upside down, the way he talks, however, the audience is unaware about the real story of Betaal. The show will begin with depicting his past story and eventually evolve to the present.”

When asked about his reminiscences about the two fantasy characters, he immediately walked down the memory lane and said, “When the makers approached me, firstly all the glimpses of my childhood memories flashed in front of my eyes. I used to read magazines and stories of Vikram and Betaal. Betaal’s one line which I like, 'Tu pehle puri kahani Sun Aur kahani ke beech Bol mat ...bolega toh main chala… aur insaan toh bolega hi', so this is very enthralling I feel."

Finally, appreciating the team effort Makarand mentioned that Vikram Betaal’s special effects are the highlights, which makes the show a must watch.

The show is all set to go on air from October 16, Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm
