Sony SAB TV show 'Tenali Rama' completes 500 episodes

The cast and crew of Tenali Rama celebrated the success with an event with the media. The team thanked the audience for showering their love and appreciating the show.

Over the years, SAB TV shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma and many others have entertained the audience thoroughly, and joining the list of the successful shows for the channel is Tenali Rama. The cast and crew of the show recently celebrated the completion of 500 episodes, at the set in Naigaon (Mumbai). 

Tenali Rama stars Krishna Bharadwaj, Manav Gohil and others in pivotal roles. Based on the fabled Telugu poet Tenali Rama, the show highlights how Pandit Ramakrishnan uses his wit and intelligence to solve even the trickiest of problems. The historical drama series has garnered immense recognition since its inception for bringing the legendary tale of Tenali Rama to life. The show is well acclaimed and loved by all age groups especially children who adore adventurous Tenali and his humour.

Sharing the excitement, Krishna Bharadwaj, who plays the titular role of Tenali Rama, said, "I'm very happy that the audience has accepted me as Tenali Rama, and given the entire team a lot of love. Completing 500 episodes is an achievement, and we will continue to entertain the audience, with a hope that they will keep us loving. We always wanted to maintain the show for people of all ages. In today's time where children have started watching shows of different kinds, on different platforms, I'm happy to know that they love our show and my character. Our aim to teach them something on a regular basis will continue."

Talking about the success, Manav Gohil, said, “We are extremely grateful to our lovely audience who has always been supportive and have appreciated our work. The journey so far would have been impossible without their support and love."

Adding to this thought, actor Panjak Berry said, "This is a team achievement and I'm very excited to have completed 500 episodes of the show. To be very honest, this show has taught me a lot. Playing my character with different shades has given me a different perspective, and I'm looking forward to achieving more with Tenali Rama."

The team at SAB TV also conducted an event for kids, called ‘Main Bhi Tenali Contest’, where more than 350 children from Ahmedabad and Indore participated in the contest, making the show successful and giving it the much-deserved recognition.
