Indian television's popular medical drama, Sanjivani, first released in 2002 and was loved by the audience then. It gained immense popularity due to the star cast and concept. Keeping the subject in mind, the makers released a new season in 2019, which was also appreciated. After the news of the second season's ending was out, fans have been waiting to know when the new installment of the show would be released.
Following the craze, the team has decided that this is not the end for Sanjeevani - on prime time. Not only are there talks for a brand new season but this show is also planned to end with a few surprises and two cameos thrown in. This information was revealed by the serial's creative producer and director Siddharth P Malhotra.
Produced by Alchemy Films, Sanjivani starred Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli in lead roles and was a rebooted version of the show which released with the same title in 2002.
With regard to the ongoing season, Malhotra added that the audience loved the new pair - Gaurav and Surbhi. "In fact, there’s a fan divide and while some love #Navisha, others like #Sidisha and this division of fans would not have happened had the audience not liked Gaurav and Surbhi. "
When asked whether a change of time slot played a role in the serial going off-air, Malhotra replied in the negative. "No, no, the change of time slot wasn’t the reason at all. The Channel took the call which is always the case and there were some branding issues apparently."
