Ace producer, writer, director Siddharth Kumar Tewary who has produced many magnum opus shows like Chandragupta Maurya and RadhaKrishn recently launched Rishtey’s fictional show ‘Navrangi Re!’.

Siddharth started his journey as a producer under the banner of Swastik Productions in the year 2013 with a fictional drama titled ‘Navya’. Today, he is popularly known for producing historical and mythological series like Porus, Mahabharat, Suryaputra Karn, Shani, Mahakali and Razia Sultan on the small screen. Driving away from his forte, the producer opted to come up with a show which conveys a social message. Titled Navrangi Re! this show portrays sanitation issues faced by people across India.

Talking about the concept of his new show, Siddharth shared, “We were approached by BBC Media and The Bill Gates Foundation as they wanted to make a show which would reach out to the masses on the topic of sanitation. Moreover, this was a very tough one to crack keeping the writing in mind, as we were not creating a documentary but something which can entertain the audiences."

On being asked about his successful stint in the industry over the years, he said, “We at Swastik always think about a good story before anything else and we are focused to maintain the reputation of being premium content makers. We do produce historical and mythological shows mostly. It has its own challenges, but we also attempt at delivering a particular message to the audiences. There is a lot of research and learning process involved in making such shows and we thoroughly enjoy this process”.

Swastik’s show RadhaKrishn which was launched in October 2018 has received immense popularity. Over the last many weeks, it has been ranking at the top on the TRP charts. Reacting to the overwhelming response the producer mentioned, “As a creator for the series it's a humbling experience. We work in an industry where every project begins from a blank sheet, everything is like a blackboard where you can't see anything and then when you start working towards your vision you start creating aspects and eventually everything shapes up. More than anything else, I think the positivity that RadhaKrishn has generated overall, when people tell me that watched the show it feels very nice. Really blessed and humbled by the response.”

Eventually throwing some light on the future plans Siddharth averred, Subjects filled with curiosities excites me a lot. I and my team are always on the search to do new things, soon some compelling content is coming up. As a company, we believe in telling tales like the ones we depicted with Amber Dhara - a story of two conjoined sisters. However, I can't comment about the future and can only speak about it when the time is right.”

Siddharth's current show RadhaKrishn recently completed its 100 episodes and stars Sumedh Mudgulkar and Mallika Singh in lead roles.
