The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) said 16 buses operated by its transport undertaking are running on five routes across the city on Tuesday, ensuring the availability of public transport despite the ongoing monsoon conditions.
According to an official statement, bus services are currently operating on the following routes:
Route 101 (Sativali) – 3 buses
Route 102 (Vasai Phata) – 4 buses
Route 302 (Phulpada) – 2 buses
Route 310 (Chandip–Shirsad) – 5 buses
Route 330 (Virar to Dwarkadhish Temple) – 2 buses
The civic body said services on these routes are operating as per the scheduled timetable for the convenience of commuters.
Bus services on other routes remain suspended for now. The municipal corporation said operations on those routes will be restored in phases after reviewing the prevailing situation and assessing road conditions.
The VVCMC said it has taken all necessary measures to ensure that bus services remain safe, regular and uninterrupted. It also urged residents to rely only on official information and avoid believing or circulating rumours.
