To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of four hours will be taken by the Western Railway (WR) on UP and Down Fast lines from 00.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs between Borivali and Bhayandar stations in the intervening night of Saturday & Sunday, i.e. on November 25-26, 2023.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all Fast line trains will be operated on Slow lines between Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali station.

Therefore, there will be NO BLOCK in DAY TIME over Western Railway Suburban section on Sunday, 26 November 2023.

Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.

It is pertinent to note that the work will be undertaken for the extension of fifth and sixth line connecting Borivali-Virar from December 1.

Meanwhile, in an official statement on Thursday, November 23, the WR officials stated that the block for launching girders for the Gokhale bridge will be taken in the first week of December only for 3 hours at night during the planned block period. So there will be NO IMPACT on regular train services during the day.
