On November 7, 45 illegal constructions close to the JVLR road were demolished by the K west ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which includes the Andheri region. The development of Metro 6 was being impeded by these constructions. Metro rail construction will now pick up pace.

Traffic congestion at JVLR will be reduced with the demolition of these structures, according to BMC. It will also make traveling to and from the Lokhandwala neighborhood via Andheri SV Road simpler.

Oshiwara police assisted the K west ward of BMC Andheri in carrying out the demolition. Approximately fifty police officers, 25 BMC workers, two JCBs, and one poclain machine were used in the demolition procedure.

According to BMC, the demolition has solved the area's waterlogging concerns in addition to helping to ease traffic and make Metro work easier.

Work on Metro 6 was put on hold for an extended period of time due to a long-running case opposing the demolition of these buildings. In recent years, road construction has also been hampered by the impending demolition. Additionally, there were serious issues with waterlogging because the rainwater drains in the region had not yet been installed. These problems will all be fixed now.

In addition to building a DP road that is 36.60 meters wide and runs from Infinity Mall to Veera Desai Road, MMRDA will also install the rainwater drain line. Through this project, municipal amenities along S V Road, Lokhandwala, and the surrounding neighborhoods would be improved.

From Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli - a distance of 14.10 miles - the Metro 6 line is being built parallel to the JVLR road. A one-kilometer stretch of road with a 120-meter width will also be built by MMRDA to connect the link road to the SV road.

On the other hand, to complete the construction of the metro station in the Manpada neighborhood of Ghodbunder, Thane Police has instituted traffic modifications as of November 7. This means that traffic movement on the service road leading from Manpada to Tattvagyan Vidyapeeth will not be allowed. As a result, there is a chance that the weight of these cars will end up on the major and secondary routes, adding to the traffic. These traffic adjustments will be in effect for a trial period of 15 days, according to the traffic police.

On Ghodbunder Marg, in the Manpada region, work is now being done on the Wadala-Ghatkopar-Kasarvadavali metro line. The pillar building for the Ghodbunder Marg metro line has been completed, according to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). This is where 'U' shaped beams are currently being built. In the vicinity of Manpada, a station is also being built. Around Manpada, the major road is quite narrow. There are also a lot of cars on the service roads that branch off of this location.

In order to prevent accidents and traffic bottlenecks while the station is being built, the traffic police have made adjustments. The implementation of these traffic modifications is a trial that lasts for 15 days. The police have requested that anyone having concerns or recommendations can place them in writing to the Thane Transport Branch office located at Teen Hath Naka. As per the police clarification, these traffic modifications will remain in place until additional directives are given if there are no objections or suggestions.
