Mumbaikars will now be able to visit Bappa throughout the night. Because BEST will provide whole night service for the convenience of Ganesha devotees. Along with this, additional local trains will also be arranged by Central Railway.
BEST's decision to start night bus service
BEST will operate 27 additional buses on 9 routes of Mumbai from September 19 to September 27. These buses will be in service on Girgaon, Parel, Lalbaug, and Chembur from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Considering festivals include Anant Chaturdashi, and Eid-e-Milad the Railway Police has deployed tight security at railway stations.
Meanwhile, the Railway Police has taken special precautions to curb the incidents of molestation of women by taking advantage of the crowd. Strict CCTV surveillance will be maintained at every railway platform. Special emphasis has been given on the safety of women and security guards have been deployed in late night local trains.
