The Central Railway has restored 16 AC local trains on Mumbai's Trans Harbor Line, which comprises, Thane-Vashi-Panvel, from Thursday, October 7. The Central Railway will also increase train services on its suburban network from October 7 to around 96 per cent from the pre-pandemic rate.
According to the timetable released by Central Railway, the first AC local train on Trans Harbor Line will leave Panvel to Thane at 5:44 am on October 7 while the last train will leave Panvel at 10:46 pm.

The above 16 services will run with AC rake from Monday to Friday and will run with non-AC rakes on Saturday.
These services will not run on Sundays / Holidays except TNU 65 Thane-Nerul and TNU 66 Nerul–Thane which will run with non-AC rakes as per the Sunday timetable schedule.
With the restoration of these services, the total number of suburban services on the Trans-Harbour section will increase to 262 from the present 246 and the total number of suburban services on Central Railway will increase from the present 1686 to 1702 i.e 95.94% of pre-covid services from 7.10.2021.
Public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “All 16 services with AC coaches will run from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays without AC coaches. Moreover, these services would not operate on Sundays and holidays.”
Passengers of the category as approved by the Ministry of Railways in coordination with the State Government of Maharashtra are only allowed to travel. Passengers are advised to adhere to all norms, SOPs related to COVID-19 during the boarding, travel and at the destination.
The Railways had suspended AC local train services and other suburban services last year due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
