Central Railway approves local train services between Kharkopar and Uran

There is big news for the passengers between Uran and Kharkopar, the Railway Board has finally approved to start the local between Kharkopar and Uran. Approval has been received after eight months. The Railway Board has given the approval eight months after the Railway Safety Commissioner certified the route as safe. This local service on this route will run under Central Railways. 


Local train services between Kharkopar and Uran will now increase. After this, 40 rounds of local trains will run between these stations. Already 20 local trains are running daily from Nerul and Belapur to Kharkopar. Some of these areas will be extended up to Uran. Some new local services will be operated. With this, citizens living in the area of Navi Mumbai Airport, Uran will be able to reach the port via local route.

To complete this expansion, Belapur-Uran Road, Karjat-Panvel new railway line, Virar-Dahanu quadruple projects need to be completed. Important projects of Central Railway include Belapur-Kharkopar-Uran line. Due to this project, new cities in Greater Mumbai will come into the local phase.
