BEST Sanyukt Kamgar Kruti Samiti (BSKKS) on Tuesday said that they will hold voting on August 23 in order to decide the future course of action. BSKKS falls under various BEST employees’ unions.

The BEST administration has already held several meetings with the union. The BEST union decided to postpone their strike scheduled on August 20 after the last meeting with the administration.

BEST Workers’ Union General Secretary Shashank Rao informed that they have not received any proposal from the administration regarding any of their demands. “We had conducted a similar election in December last year, before going on a strike in January,” Rao added.

Earlier, the workers warned to go on an indefinite strike while pressing their demands regarding their salary agreements which were implemented in April 2016. The BEST workers have also demanded the pending payment of the year 2017-18.
