Wadala - Bombay Electric Workers Union and BEST Kranti Kamgar Association protested raising their objectives and demands which need to be fulfilled. The meeting was held on Wednesday. A camp was set up wherein BEST workers flocked and raised their voices. Vitthalrao Gaikwad, Secretary BEST Electric Workers Union led the protest.
Demands proposed by the workers are as follows -
1. Discontinue the procedure of paying salary after 10th of every month
2. Pay the salary between 1 - 7 of every month
3. Pay the workers in advance until the demands are not met
Vitthalrao Gaikwad alleged that BEST is blatantly pretending to be in loss.
Present in the protest were Ashok Chavan, President Bombay Electric Workers Union, Bajrang Kadam, BESTKranti Kamgar Association and Executive President Pawan Gaikwad.
