Central Railways announce mega block on harbour line on Nov 22

Two days ago, the railways had already announced a block on Saturday and Sunday for launching of girder for Patripool road overbridge at Kalyan railway station (block will be between Dombivali and Kalyan from 9.50 am to 1.50 pm on Sunday).

The Central Railway(CR) would operate mega block on the Harbour line on Sunday, November 22, on account of maintenance work.

The up services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel / Belapur/ Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and up services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Goregaon/Bandra from 10.45 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended.

Besides this, all down Harbour line services for Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST)Mumbai/ Vadala Road from 11.34 am to 4.47 pm and all down Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) from 9.56 am to 4.43 pm will also be suspended, the release said.

“This maintenance mega block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety.  Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for inconvenience caused,” said the Central railway official.

However, special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period, and harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via mainline and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm added the Central railway release.

The up harbour line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus for Chunabhatti/Bandra from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and up harbour lines leaving Chunabhatti/Bandra for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm will also remain suspended.
