After a long wait, the Western Railway introduced the AC local train last year in December. However, it seems that the AC local is failing to provide cooling, which is the utmost important thing. Commuters who have been paying double the amount for tickets are unhappy owing to the non-functional AC. Finally, on Friday, commuters did a rail roko at Andheri railway station.

Around 8:30 am, commuters stopped the AC local at Andheri railway station creating chaos during the peak hours. Though this did not affect other local trains, police had to intervene to handle the crowd.
Commuters stood on the tracks for almost 20 minutes. Post this incident, the WR suspended AC locals until further announcement. Meanwhile, the WR informed via Twitter that they will be sending all AC locals for an inspection.
Due to technical problem in working of AC in 3 coaches of AC local, the services of AC local has been cancelled today till further repairs. Inconvenience to commuters is highly regretted please. @drmbct
