The free services were available to BMC employees, Civic/private hospital doctors, Nurses, Chemists staff and Police personnel. The employees could avail the services by displaying their identity card. While giving this concession, the corporation was getting the total amount of ticket from the concerned department of the government.

At that time, some rounds of ST were conducted for government employees from Mumbai, Thane, Palghar division.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has provided ₹2 crores to ST Corporation to compensate for the losses incurred by offering free transport for those engaged in providing essential service.
