GoAir to start daily flight service between Mumbai and Doha

GoAir recently announced that it will be starting a flight service on Mumbai-Doha route from March 19. GoAir mentioned on its site that the one-way fare for the daily flight service on the Mumbai-Doha will be starting at ₹7,099 (all-inclusive), whereas the return fares will cost the passengers ₹14,000 (all-inclusive).

The flight will take off from Bombay Airport at 5:50 pm and will reach Doha at 7:30 pm. On the other hand, the return flight will depart from Doha at 8:30 pm and will land in Delhi at 2:40 pm.

"Doha is GoAir's first destination in the state of Qatar and the 6th in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. The Mumbai – Doha – Mumbai flights will commence from 19th March 2020," the airline said in its press release."

Jeh Wadia, the managing director of GoAir, said, "I must share that our operations in the Gulf region have received an exceptional response and the launch of the Doha sector is in line with our aggressive growth plans."

Currently, GoAir operates flights to a total of nine international destinations:

  • Phuket
  • Male
  • Muscat
  • Abu Dhabi
  • Dubai
  • Bangkok
  • Singapore
  • Kuwait
  • Dammam

As the budget carrier announced the initiation of Mumbai-Doha flight service, the airline is now offering flight tickets to Phuket and Bangkok under its Valentine’s Day special offer. Tickets can be booked till February 13, 2020, and the travel period is valid till March 31, 2020, the carrier mentioned on its site.

In other news, GoAir has started phasing out A320 ceo planes from its fleet since last week. So far, the airline has moved two such aircraft out of operations.

Aviation organisation DGCA has directed airlines operating A320neos with Pratt and Whitney (P&W) engines to compulsorily replace at least one engine on the basis of specific flying hours.
