Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is all set to introduce air-conditioned local trains in the coming years and people have a reason to smile as the heat in Mumbai is really lethal!
There’s one small catch, the authorities are still contemplating on having a goods compartment on that train.
On the trains running currently, there are four small goods carrier compartments and two compartments for the handicap.
There could be one goods carrier coach at the front and one at the back along with one coach for the handicap in the front in the new train. A final report will be prepared by the end of this month and a final call will be taken.
