Harbour Line Will Soon Be Extended Till Borivali

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) along with Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR) is all set to extend Harbour Line till Borivali station. Currently, the Harbour Line of Central Railway is till Goregaon Station.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) along with Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR) is all set to extend Harbour Line till Borivali station. Currently, the Harbour Line of Central Railway is till Goregaon Station.

Taking into note the increase in demand of commuters to extend the station till Borivali, MMRDA and Western Railway are conducting a drone survey for the same. They will take into account the feasibility and routes that can be extended. Borivali station is one of the major stations of Western Railway and has thousands of commuters boarding from the same. 

In the present scheme of things, Central Railway's Harbour Lines route are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)-Panvel, CSMT-Vashi, CSMT-Mankhurd, CSMT-Bandra, CSMT-Andheri and CSMT-Goregaon. Commuters travelling from the Western Railway had to get down at Andheri first and then board the next train, in order to solve their inconvenience, Railways extended the route till Goregaon and is all set to extend till Borivali.
