Central Railway's (CR) Harbour Line's commuter recently complained about human faeces being rubbed all over the train especially on the seats. According to the complaint that was posted on Twitter, the commuter said that such kind of incident has been taking place frequently.
The commuter shared a video and stated that he had witnessed this in a 9:06 am Belapur- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) bound train in two male coaches.
@Central_Railway @rpfcr today in 9:06 am train from Belapur to cst, some antisocial people have rubbed human faeces all over the train. Two coaches had to go completely vacant because of this. Please trace such people and punish them. Happening very frequently these days. pic.twitter.com/PChRQCcBGL

Moreover, he has urged the railway officials to trace such people and punish them to avoid such wrongdoings in future.
Replying to the post, Central railway RPF also asked the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Central Railway in Mumbai to look into the matter.
According to the commuters, this a common problem in the Harbour Line as many people who travel are under the influence of alcohol and they do these things to create a nuisance. Another commuter suggested that Central Railway should check all the compartments before the train leaves for its first journey in the day.
Last year, Mumbai Live reported a similar incident that took place twice in a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)-Panvel bound train and that too in the same compartment. However, this suggests that such menace in a mode of public transport is still prevalent even during a pandemic and the officials have not been able to eliminate and punish the offenders.
