Platform 1 on Jogeshwari Station becomes oneway

To extend the harbour line track from Andheri - Goregaon Platform Number 1 on Jogeshwari station will be removed. Earlier commuters used to get down on either side of the platform at Jogeshwari station. But after removal of Platform 1 commuters have to board and get down from the same platform. The rail authorities are temporarily shutting down the slow line at Jogeshwari station to extend Andheri-Goregaon harbour line.

Railway authorities have demolished the platform number 1 where the rail lines will come up and have cordoned it with metal sheets. There is a very little space for commuters to walk after alighting. Jogeshwari station receives heavy footfall of around 40,000 passengers
