Railways in Mumbai to experience Mega Block this Sunday

The railways in Mumbai will see a mega block this Sunday, on all the three lines, i.e. Western, Central and Harbour for maintenance reasons. On a day like Sunday, when everybody wants to retire to a leisure-filled life by travelling out of the city, this is one big problem that the Mumbaikars will have to face. So understated is the rundown for the details of the Mega Block:

Central Line Thane- Kalyan DN Slow Line (11.20 a.m. -4.20p.m.)

All the trains will be unavailable for Kalva, Mumbra, Koper and Thakurli stations. Hence, the commuters are advised that they take travel via Kalyan, Dombivali and Diva stations. The trains from CST Mumbai will reach Mumbai 15 minutes beyond their regular schedules between the timings of 10.20 a.m. to 2.42  a.m. from the down fast lines and will halt stations like Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva.

Western Line Borivali to Andheri (10:35 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.)

The jumbo block will happen for the maintenance, signals and the overhead wire equipment between the timings of 10:35 a.m. – 3:35 p.m. between the stations of Borivali and Andheri. During the block, all the slow trains of up and down lines will run on the fast up and down lines. Also, because of the block, some trains have been cancelled.

Harbour Line CST Chuna Bhatti/ Mahim Down and Up (11:40 a.m.-04:40p.m.)

The block will happen for the maintenance, signals and the overhead wire equipment between the timings of 11:40 a.m.-04:40 p.m. between the stations of Chuna Bhatti/ Mahim. During the block, all the trains will be cancelled for CST to Andheri, and Bandra.
