Uttar Pradesh resident, 20-year-old Sandeep Sonkar was lucky enough to see the light of another day and it was only because of ticket collector Sashikant Chavhan who saved his life when he was dangling between death and life.
Sandeep was waiting to board Pushpak Express from platform no. 4 at Kalyan. The train arrived on time and Sandeep stood near the door. The train started and Sandeep who was waiting on the platform started running along with the train. Though he was successful in holding the door, he couldn’t lift his body and his legs were dangling out of the train.
Thanks to his stars, TC Sashikant Chavhan saw Sandeep and he immediately pulled him towards the platform and saved his life.
We saw the long-distance train arriving at the station and saw Sandeep as well who ran behind to board the train. But he couldn’t do so and his body was dangling out of the train. Then without wasting any time, my colleagues and I pulled him on the platform,” Sashikant Chavhan, TC, Kalyan.
