According to an official notification, people have been asked to take the diversions that have been issued by the traffic police to avoid congestion.

For light motor vehicles going towards Mumbai from Thane and Nashik-Mumbai Highway via the Eastern Express Highway, the Naupada service road leading up to the Kopri bridge will remain closed.

Meanwhile, for heavy vehicles going towards Mumbai from Thane via the Nashik Highway, the Kharegaon toll plaza will remain closed. They can be diverted via Mumbra-Shilphata-Rabale-Airoli and further.

For those travelling via Ghodbunder Road, the road under the Majiwada bridge and the road to the left of it will also be shut.

Instead, commuters from Thane and the Nashik-Mumbai Highway can reach the Eastern Express Highway by taking the Airoli bridge route. Those travelling from Ghodbunder Road can take a left from Teen Hath Naka and reach Mumbai via the LBS Road or the Anand Nagar check post. They can instead take the Airoli bridge to proceed to the Eastern Express Highway to eventually reach Mumbai.

Commuters have been advised to use alternate routes and diversions to reach their destination to avoid any inconvenience.
