The toy train which resumed services from October 31 has earned some big bucks in the initial eight days. Commuting from Matheran to Aman lodge and Aman lodge to Matheran, this train has earned about INR 5 lakh.
The precise earnings have been INR 5,01,780 as the inaugural day hit the INR 64,300 mark.
The train started functioning after a 17-month wait and it has been quite helpful to senior citizens and people have given a positive response to the train.
People are also suggesting that a toy train from Neral to Matheran should start soon. The work on this track is underway but there are a few complications according to the railway administration.
