Mumbai – Sunday prior to the beginning of Diwali celebrations remains quite hectic for all and one. People throng market places in the mega city to purchases things for the festival of light. They, particularly those residing beyond Thane, will have to go through a rude shock as the Central Railway has taken a mega block of nine hours on Sunday. The mega block is being taken for the work of fast track at Diva Station. All CST-bound local trains are being diverted on slow track between Kalyan and Thane. The mega block has begun at 9 am and it will end at 6 pm which will also affect the Express train services. Local trains are running 15 to 20 minutes late. Ratnagiri-Dadar passenger train’s last stop is given at Panvel. A block is also being taken between Chunabhatti and Mahim on the Harbour line.
