Mega Block on CR and WR on October 18. Here are all the details

Both Western Railway and Central Railway will operate a mega block on their lines on Sunday, October 18. The local trains in Mumbai are currently running only to ferry people engaged in essential services. Recently, the Maharashtra government announced that women will be allowed to travel via local trains but they are still to receive a mod from Railways for this. 

Central Railway will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance work on Sunday 18.10.2020 from 10 am to 3:30 PM and on Western Railways from 10 am to 3:00 PM

MAIN LINE

Matunga – Mulund Up and Dn Fast Lines from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
 
Dn Fast / Semi - Fast special locals leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9.23 am to 2.42 pm will be diverted on Dn slow line between Matunga and Mulund halting as per scheduled and further rediverted on Dn fast line at Mulund.

Up Fast special locals leaving Thane from 9.33 am to 2.58 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Mulund and Parel halting as per scheduled and further rediverted on Up fast line at Parel.
   
HARBOUR LINE

Panvel- Vashi Up and Dn harbour lines from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm
(Including Belapur- Seawoods - Uran line)
 
Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 10.00 am to 3.35 pm will remain suspended.
 
Dn Harbour line services to Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm will remain suspended.
 
However, special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.
 
These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

Western Railways

In a press statement, Western Railways has announced that it will be carrying out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment. For this, Jumbo Block will be organised for four hours will be taken on UP and DOWN Slow line between Bhayandar and Vasai Road from 11.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs on Sunday, 18th October, 2020. During the block period, all UP and DOWN Slow line trains will be operated on Fast lines between Borivali to Vasai Road/Virar stations. Passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements.
