Mumbai – To reduce the traffic congestion in Western Railways train and Western Express Highway, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced Metro project in the fast growing Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) on Wednesday in the assembly.
The project will cost around Rs 3,600 crore. MMRDA has begun construction of metro corridors Andheri-Dahisar (via WEH) and DN Nagar-Dahisar.
Metro corridor will run 9Km into Mira-Bhayandar stated Pravin Darade, additional metropolitan commissioner (MMRDA).
Residents of MBMC are raising their voice regarding traffic congestion and day to day problems they face while commuting. If metro can run till Dahisar why not Mira-Bhayander demanded residents. Metro is the silver lining in the cloud for MBMC residents, as it will help lowering the congestion.
