Like every year, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, special buses are being released by the MSRTC for the passengers, this year as well. Since travel by these buses is cheaper and safer, many prefer to use their services. Considering the demand from passengers, the MSRTC has decided to release special buses this year too. Out of the 1,015 extra buses passing through the Mumbai area, 340 buses have been reserved. Additionally, in light of the festivities, the Central railway is also preparing to release more trains.

The response to the reservation of Ganpati special buses to Konkan, Maharashtra has been positive. Thus, the corporation has announced 2,200 additional buses for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Konkan. These buses, set to leave from September 4, have already commenced their reservation process since July 16.

The first 1,015 extra buses departing from various depots under Mumbai, Thane and Palghar are available for reservations. Of these, 100 group reservations and 240 independent reservations have been made.

Additionally, due to the fuel price hike this year, reports state that the fare of private buses is expected to be increased during the festive season this year.

The Central Railway has also announced the release of 72 more trains for the festival this year, which has received a positive response. Thus, reports claim that further 40 or more trains are expected to be announced soon.
