Last week, as a staff member of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), committed suicide due to financial difficulties, the staff members of MSRTC are to agitate today.

According to reports, Kamlesh Bedse hanged himself at his house in Sakri, Dhule district, on Friday. Moreover, Bedse happens to be the third employee to take his life in the past nine months due to which MSRTC employees have announced state-wide protests and dharnas outside depots today, to demand their salary and dues.

Meanwhile, the issue of salaries of ST Corporation employees has become serious. The union has said that the financial situation of many has deteriorated due to the non-receipt of salaries on time. The organization said the protests would take place after the end of duty. Shashank Rao, general secretary of Sangharsh ST Kamgar Union, has appealed to the people to join him for his right to justice.

On the other hand, a video of an MSRTC employee’s minor daughter has gone viral on social media platforms. The video shows the girl appealing to the government to disburse the salary, as her father is under stress for the past few days. Furthermore, she added that he has asked her to stop tuitions he has no money.
