In just one month, under the 'Mahila Samman Yojana', 4.2 crore women travelled in half tickets in ST. Due to the 'Mahila Samman Yojana', the daily number of passengers of ST has increased by 6 lakh and the highest response is getting from Kolhapur division. In the state budget 2023-24, it was announced that women will get a 50 percent discount on all types of ST bus ticket fares.

From March 17, ST Corporation has started a plan to provide a 50 percent discount on ticket fare to women in all types of buses. Women have responded well to this scheme since day one. Currently more than 14 lakh women are benefiting from this scheme on an average daily. The ST's average daily ridership is 55 lakhs. From this, ST earned income of INR 4 crore 22 lakh. So, as many as 30 lakh 24 thousand women travelled in Kolhapur division in 1 month.
