On the 30th anniversary of the India-Israel full diplomatic relations and the 74th anniversary of Israel's Independence Day, the Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai initiated a special communication drive, reports stated.
According to accounts, ten Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) buses depicting cooperation in the field of agriculture and water will function on Mumbai roads for a duration of one month. Following this, it is anticipated that a suburban train of the Central Railways will also join the initiative.
Based on narratives, Kobbi Shoshani, Israel's Consulate General to Mid-West India, inaugurated the first bus by travelling from the Maharana Pratap Chowk in Mazgaon to Mumbai Central Depot along with others from the Consulate General of Israel.

It has been reported that apart from the distribution of gift hampers to passengers as well as BEST staffers, information was accorded about the bilateral ties. For those unversed, a consulate was established in the city in the 1950s.
Shoshani was quoted in reports elaborating on how over the past nine months, he has been a proud Mumbaikar. He added that he has visited Mumbai many times since 1992 and has seen its altering skyline.
He believes that the mutual affection between the two countries is its biggest strength. Additionally, he thinks it's crucial to reach out to people and involve them in the celebration.
