Senior citizens, differently-abled and students can now travel on the Mumbai Metro at concessional rates. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that they will get a 25 per cent discount from Maharashtra Day, May 1. Thousands of commuters in this category using the National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai One) will get this discount.

This facility will start for passengers given by Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited and MMRDA on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. Senior citizens, students and disabled passengers will get this concession for 45 trips or 60 trips on Mumba One Pass.

Speaking in this regard, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that we have designed the Mumbai Metro network keeping in mind the needs and safety of senior citizens, disabled and children. So they need to take maximum advantage of these facilities. We have earlier made ST travel free for senior citizens. Women have also been given 50 percent travel concession in ST buses. We have taken these decisions in the spirit of society and I hope more people will travel with this metro travel discount.
