Everyday, various employees, businessmen, traders, labourers and workers commute to Vasai, Dahanu, Virar from Karjat, Kasara, Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan. This working class goes to the desired destination via Dadar from Diva, Kopar, Panvel railway stations in the morning hours to go to Vasai area as there is no passenger train during office hours. More than 700 passengers who travel regularly on this railway line have demanded that two passenger trains should be made operational from Diva railway station between 8:00 am and 8:30 am and 9:00 am to 9:30 am to avoid this diversion of passengers. They have put forth their demands to MP Dr Shrikant Shinde.

He assured that he will talk to the railway authorities and try to take a proper decision regarding this matter. After the passenger train leaves for Vasai from Upper Kopar railway station at 5:50 am, the next train is directly scheduled at 10:15 am. Between these hours, as there is no passenger train, it gets crowded at Upper Kopar railway station.

Industrial development has taken place in Kaman, Kharbav, Gove areas near Bhiwandi. Citizens of Badlapur, Thane, Dombivli areas regularly go to these areas for jobs and work. As there is no passenger facility at Upper Kopar railway station to reach their office hours in the morning, the passengers are stranded. Although the office time is 9:30 in the morning, many passengers catch the 6:00 am passenger and go to Vasai. Some passengers go to their destination via Dadar. Some passengers go to Bhiwandi by bus from Kalyan. Since the rickshaw journey from there is expensive, many passengers cannot afford it. So most of the passengers depend on the 10:15 am passenger from Upper Kopar railway station. Many times, this passenger train arrives late.
