Central Railway (CR) have decided to add one more Vistadome coach in Train No 22119/22120 CSMT-Karmali Tejas Express with effect from Friday, April 14, 2023.
It is pertinent to note that on September 2022, the Vistadome coach was launched in the Tejas Express. With this, it become the second train to have vistadome coach on Mumbai-Madgaon section.
This development to add another coach comes in view of growing popularity and increase in footfall of Vistadome coaches. It gives the opportunity to experience the journey in a unique manner.
Revised Composition: Two Vistadome coaches, 11 AC chair cars, one AC Executive Chair Car and Two Luggage, generator cum brake vans.
Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kudal, Karmali
Waiting list passengers of both the trains are requested to check the status of their tickets before boarding the train.
Passengers are advised to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour for their and other's safety.
The first ever train to launch the Vistadome coaches on this route was Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express. Two years later, Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express in July introduced these coaches.
For those unversed, CR is running a total of six vistadome coaches.
They are: Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express, Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen, Mumbai-Pune Pragati Express, Pune-Secunderabad Shatabdi Express and CSMT-Karmali Tejas Express.
