The Mumbai-Pune Expressway is going to remain shut for an hour in the afternoon on June 25, Tuesday as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will be installing a cable near the route. MSEDCL will be installing a cable at Parandwadi, Maharashtra which is a village located near the expressway.

Earlier, an overhead wire near Mumbai-Pune Expressway had broken down and therefore, the proposed repair work which was delayed by the authorities will eventually be completed tomorrow. MSEDCL has decided to halt all the transportation within half-an-hour range of the repair site.

Meanwhile, light vehicles along with passenger vehicles will be diverted towards the old Mumbai-Pune Highway via Kiwale.

Every year, during monsoon, several people visit Bhushi Dam and Tiger Point which is accessible through Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Accordingly, the people visiting these tourist spots tomorrow are bound to face heavy traffic.
