Only because of a gangman’s presence of mind, Mumbai-Pune Intercity Express was saved from getting derailed. On Tuesday morning, Mumbai-Pune Intercity Express was on its way to Pune when a gangman saw the cracks on the tracks between Thakurwadi and Monkey Hill and asked the motorman to stop the train.
Gangman Sunil Kumar was returning home after patrolling in the morning hours when he witnessed that tracks had a crack. Immediately, he informed the Mumbai-Pune Intercity Express motorman.
A few days ago, Madurai express train had derailed near Khandala but fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. However, it had affected the express train services.
