There are a total 7 locals in the fleet of Western Railway and total of 79 rounds are done by these trains.  However, due to problems in the maintenance and repair of air-conditioned local trains, the air-conditioning system becomes ineffective. Due to this, the passengers of air-conditioned local trains have to suffer. Many passengers have expressed their anger about this. However, WR kept on ignoring it, cited passengers. Due to WR's inefficiency, passengers have to travel through normal local trains despite buying air-conditioned local tickets which are expensive compared to normal local trains.
