The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has come up with a tentative fare structure of the bullet train, according to which, commuters might have to pay ₹250 for a one-way journey from Thane to Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) which will cover the distance in 10 minutes.

The NHRCL has displayed the tentative fare structure along with a prototype of the bullet train at a kiosk at Magnetic Maharashtra conclave which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday

The tentative fare is 1.5 times higher than the fare of the first class AC local.


Other tentative fares and duration

Virar to BKC- ₹500
Time duration- 24 minutes

Boisar to BKC- ₹750
Time duration- 39 minutes

Dhananjay Kumar PRO of NHSRCL told Hindustan Times,
“The fare of the bullet train has been made as per the current pricing and is prepared for Maharashtra."

About the bullet train
- 508-km bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad

  • Will have 12 stations

  • BKC, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati
