The Central Railways will operate a special night traffic block on Up and Down fast lines between Vidyavihar and Kanjurmarg from 23.45 hrs to 04.45 hrs on the intervening night of November 20-21 for de-launching of old warren ‘N’ type foot over bridge at the middle of Vikhroli station.
Amid this block, the train running pattern will be as under:
• Down fast line suburban services leaving Matunga from 23.31 hrs will be diverted on Down slow line between Matunga and Mulund station.
• Down and Up Mail/Express trains leaving/ arriving Dadar / CSMT will be diverted on the 5th and 6th line between Thane and Vidyavihar stations.
The authorities have urged passengers to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused due to this infrastructure upgrade block.
Additionally, the Railways has been on a war footing looking to offer enhanced amenities to its travellers. Some of these include reconstructed Frere Road over Bridge, Integrated Surveillance System on the suburban section of Western Railways, and a pod concept retiring room at Mumbai Central railway station.
Home Platform at Ambernath and Kopar railway stations, Foot Over Bridges, Escalators, Lifts and Toilet Blocks on Mumbai suburban section of Central and Western Railways, Coach Restaurant at CSMT and Executive Waiting Hall at CSMT and Mumbai Central railway stations have also been recently inaugurated.
